About the role
In this role you will lead the international team of product managers for Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) with "Teamcenter Simulation". Teamcenter Simulation is a part our Engineering Enterprise Applications and Engineering AI solution domain within Siemens Digital Industries Software to manage and orchestrate simulation and test processes, the input and result data, tools and workflows across the engineering domains (3D CAE, System Simulation, …) in tight connection to the product lifecycle.
As a product management lead, you will interact with all these domains to understand needs, trends and opportunities and to shape this into a roadmap for continued growth.
Our ambition is to lead the market with seamless user experience connecting product data with simulation and physical testing, powerful workflow automation, and effortless results dissemination and reporting.
Responsibilities
As Product Management Lead you will lead & empower the product management team to achieve all inbound and outbound deliverables in line with the governing Q-gate process.
This includes :
- Leading the team for continuous growth
- Creating the strategy and organizing the elements of the product roadmap that maximize user value as well as business revenue in release and product increment planning in alignment with the development team
- Translating and capturing the roadmap elements into capabilities, features and stories to define product development plan following the SAFe methodology
- Training of pre-sales, services and support teams on existing and new features
- Organizing for occasional support of portfolio developers, business development teams, sales and pre-sales teams in customer pursuits, including dedicated Proof-of-Concept development and demonstration
- Supporting service teams with implementation and deployment
- Staying abreast of our competition keep track of gaps/opportunities
- Driving the promotion of the product in collaboration with the marketing team
We are looking for someone who is fully aware of the SPDM domain, well organized and comfortable with interacting with many stakeholders such as other product managers within and outside of the business segment, customers, the sales organization, marketing, etc. Your ambition will be to combine all these inputs and master the dependencies to deliver first class solutions to the market.
Specific qualifications we will be looking for :
- Extensive experience as Technical product Manager or similar leadership role
- Proven track record in people management, building and growing high-performance teams
- Proven track record in managing a product creation process with deep expertise on Agile SAFe and its implementation with Polarion
- Hands-on experience and profound knowledge of SPDM, including understanding the engineering verification and validation processes, through simulation and/or physical testing in either automotive, aerospace or defense industry. Can articulate critical aspects to deliver traceable, correctly annotated data to support engineering decisions
- Hands-on experience with product release management, including digital delivery of cloud products
- Strong written, communication and presentation skills
- Collaborating effectively between the different stakeholders within SIM, LCS and the respective domain owners
