About the role
Linklaters Belgium is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic lawyer to support the Employment practice across a range of initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work with talented, engaged and motivated colleagues and clients in Belgium and abroad.

Our employment practice is involved in various high‑profile employment matters, including recent and ongoing employment restructurings. We want to strengthen our team and provide state‑of‑the‑art training on a practice, local, and global level – on legal, technology, and soft skills.
Responsibilities
You will be involved in all areas of collective and individual employment law, including client assistance with drafting and terminating employment contracts, collective redundancies, and all employment aspects of corporate restructurings. Work will include outside‑court assistance and litigation before the court, covering transactional, advisory and litigation work.
You will handle first‑hand contacts with client legal and HR departments and have opportunities to work internationally.
Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years’ experience and a keen interest in financial, economic and legal matters on a global scale.
- Native Dutch speaker with excellent command of English and French.
- First‑class Belgian law degree, possibly with additional education abroad or a postgraduate degree in the field.
- Strong analytical sense, excellent drafting and presentation skills (also in English), commercially aware and solution‑oriented.
- Team player, able to operate through complexity and ambiguity, staying focused on best outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Pragmatic, solution‑driven, creatively challenge future trends, including technology focus.
