At Amista, we help organisations grow and excel through smart business solutions, SAP expertise and a strong focus on innovation and teamwork. Our success is driven by our people - passionate professionals who work together in a no-nonsense culture, where there is scope for entrepreneurship, initiative and personal development.

About your job

As Team Lead within Integration & Extensibility, you combine your work as a SAP Technical Consultant on client projects with leading, developing and inspiring your colleagues. You help your team perform at their best while delivering value to our clients and to Amista. You are the first point of contact for your team members and the link between your team and the Lead of SAP Technology.

Your primary focus as a team lead is people leadership. You motivate colleagues, support their individual growth and build a strong team culture where people feel supported, collaborate effectively and actively share their knowledge. You keep engagement high, align your team’s objectives with those of the organisation and create an environment where people can thrive and continuously improve. Your technical background and understanding of the SAP BTP landscape help you understand your team’s work and development needs.

You remain actively involved in client projects as a consultant. Approximately half a day per week is allocated to your team lead responsibilities, with priorities and planning aligned with the Lead of SAP Technology and the Operations Manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Coaching and developing your team: holding regular one-to-ones, team meetings, performance reviews and development conversations; identifying learning opportunities; and documenting and following up on individual development goals and agreed actions.
  • Building engagement and team culture: promoting collaboration and accountability, addressing conflicts constructively, and organising team activities and internal events such as Tech Evenings, based on your team’s input.
  • Supporting performance: setting clear expectations and objectives in consultation with the Lead of SAP Technology, providing regular feedback, supporting improvement plans where needed, and recognising strong contributions.
  • Supporting team capacity and allocation: working with the Operations Manager to balance client and project needs with employee development and well-being.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing: helping colleagues document and share technical knowledge, project insights and best practices, making them accessible to the wider team.
  • Contributing to recruitment, onboarding and team communication: participating in interviews and candidate evaluation, welcoming new colleagues, and acting as the link between your team and the Lead of SAP Technology by communicating priorities and sharing feedback, needs and concerns.
  • Contributing to client projects: continuing to work as a SAP Technical Consultant alongside your team lead responsibilities.

Do you recognise yourself?

We are looking for a SAP technical professional with the motivation to take on responsibility for people within the SAP Technical Team. This role is above all about supporting, motivating and helping colleagues grow. A strong technical foundation matters, while your people skills and coaching mindset are central to your success as a team lead.

In addition, you combine empathy with clear communication, organisational awareness and a strong sense of accountability.

  • At least four years of relevant experience as a SAP Technical Consultant, preferably in a consulting or project-based environment.
  • A strong technical foundation and a good understanding of the SAP BTP landscape and its technologies.
  • A strong people leadership and coaching mindset, combining empathy and emotional intelligence with accountability, integrity and a peoplefirst perspective.
  • An understanding of team dynamics and organisational behaviour, with the ability to resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Clear and persuasive communication, with the ability to motivate colleagues and translate organisational priorities into achievable team objectives in consultation with the Lead of SAP Technology.
  • An understanding of project environments and delivery structures, enabling you to combine consultancy work with team lead responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational skills to document agreements, follow up on development goals and maintain regular contact with your team.
