About the role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on quality excellence at our European Distribution Center in Temse. By supporting compliance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives and partnering with colleagues across the organization, you will help ensure that our products continue to meet the highest quality standards.

As a Quality Engineer, you will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for our BDM Pharmaceutical Systems business. You will work closely with operational teams and quality stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and customer expectations.

Main responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Contribute to quality planning and quality system effectiveness initiatives
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes and procedures

Inspections & Compliance

  • Support inspections during material handling, storage and distribution activities
  • Monitor compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Support the implementation and follow-up of corrective actions arising from quality observations

Non-Conformances, CAPA & Complaints

  • Support and participate in root cause investigations
  • Assist with the timely and compliant closure of complaints and investigations
  • Manage non-conformance records and support CAPA activities
  • Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to quality improvement projects
  • Support process harmonization, simplification and standardization initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional teams focused on operational excellence
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness

About you

You are a proactive and quality-minded professional with strong organizational and communication skills. You enjoy working collaboratively across functions, solving problems and identifying opportunities to improve processes in a regulated environment.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, technical or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related quality role
  • Experience within a regulated environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry preferred)
  • Experience with non-conformances, CAPA processes and investigation activities
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken; French is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems
  • Familiarity with CAPA and complaint management processes
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience with quality management systems such as TrackWise
  • Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) is an asset
