Senior Business Analyst – Freelance - Environmental Services
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst at one of our clients, where you act as a bridge between business stakeholders, operational teams and IT departments to identify business needs, improve processes and translate strategic objectives into practical, data-driven solutions.
You support the mission to protect the environment and improve water quality in Flanders by helping optimize business processes related to wastewater treatment, sewerage infrastructure, infrastructure investment and operational performance. You analyze complex business challenges, define requirements for digital solutions and ensure that business and technology initiatives deliver measurable value.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Typically 5-8+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation or IT project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of business process modelling, requirements management and stakeholder facilitation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex organizational environments.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, BPMN modelling tools, Excel and Power BI.
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, systems integration and business application landscapes.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; French is an advantage.
