Mechanical Design Expert

Are you an experienced Mechanical Designer looking to join a leading mechanical engineering company in the textile industry? You’ll be working on challenging, international projects where you can fully utilise your technical expertise.

• You will be responsible for the entire process, from the concept phase through to the delivery of production-ready machines, watching them literally come to life on our shop floor.
• You will design smart, creative and cost-effective concepts, with a focus on design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and assembly.
• You will mentor and support a team of engineers, whilst acting as the R&D manager’s right-hand person in the field of mechanical engineering.
• You will carry out strength calculations, draw up technical documentation and contribute ideas for improvements to existing machines and the design of new solutions.
• You will work closely with colleagues in electronics, automation and software, and occasionally monitor installations and after-sales support for customers worldwide.

Wij zoeken een energieke en oplossingsgerichte Mechanical Design Expert die houdt van verantwoordelijkheid en complexe projecten in internationale settings. Jij brengt de juiste mix van ervaring, kennis en persoonlijkheid mee om het team te verrijken.

• Een masterdiploma als industrieel ingenieur of burgerlijk ingenieur (of gelijkwaardig door ervaring), met minstens een 8-tal jaar ervaring in het ontwerpen van industriële machines.
• Technische diepgang gecombineerd met een hands-on mentaliteit en organisatorisch inzicht.
• Ervaring met 3D CAD (ervaring met Creo Parametric is een plus) en PDM/PLM-systemen (ervaring met Windchill is een plus).
• Kennis van aandrijftechnieken zoals lagers, lineaire actuatoren, transmissies, pneumatiek en motoren.
• Bekendheid met sterkteberekeningen, FEA, machinerichtlijnen en risicoanalyse (EN ISO 12100, EN ISO 13849).
• Basiskennis van elektriciteit, automatisering, en inzicht in materialen en productiemethoden.
• Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in Nederlands en Engels.
• Een probleemoplossend vermogen en een positieve, no-nonsense persoonlijkheid.
• Bereidheid tot sporadisch reizen naar klanten wereldwijd.
