The General Services Department plays a key role within Fluxys and fosters a safe, efficient and pleasant working environment. The team manages buildings and workspaces as well as support services such as reception, catering, cleaning, mail handling, reprographics, parking facilities and the vehicle fleet. With a strong focus on service quality, customer orientation and continuous improvement, General Services contributes to the well-being of staff and the operational efficiency of Fluxys on a daily basis.

For the General Services Department, we’re looking for a people-oriented Workplace Experience Officer (m/f/x) who will make our Fluxys Headquarters environment more efficient, welcoming and pleasant every day for staff, visitors and stakeholders alike.

Job purpose

You will ensure that our non-technical services at Fluxys Headquarters run smoothly and are customer-focused and reliable. From workplace services, mail, printing and parking to budgets, teams and external partners: you will cultivate a working environment in which people can collaborate in an efficient and enjoyable way.

Your responsibilities

  • You will manage and improve the day-to-day running of the office environment, workspaces and support services at Fluxys Headquarters.
  • You will enhance the employee experience by prioritising comfort, service, well-being and efficiency.
  • You will coordinate services such as reception, catering, cleaning, events, mail, reprographics, parking and workplace services.
  • You will ensure that services are provided properly, in a traceable manner and with a focus on the customer, including for critical mail flows and communication support.
  • You will manage budgets, resources and external partners, and will make decisions based on quality, efficiency and user impact.
  • You will translate the workplace experience objectives into specific team targets and improvement initiatives, in line with Fluxys’ values and the HSE policy.
  • You will coach and motivate internal staff and external partners to work together to deliver a reliable, professional and welcoming service.
  • You will work closely with P&O, Safety, IT, Communications and other stakeholders, and will keep abreast of developments relating to hybrid working, hospitality and the workplace experience.

About you

  • You hold a master’s degree or have equivalent experience, and ideally have around 10years’ experience in workplace experience, facility management, housing, hospitality or a similar field.
  • You possess strong operational organisational skills and a clear service-oriented mindset.
  • You deal with uncertainty with ease, set the right priorities and stay focused on your goals.
  • You forge and actively maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Thanks to your network, you can bring people together and encourage cooperation for the benefit of the organisation.
  • You have a good sense of what staff need to work comfortably, efficiently and in a way that is pleasant for them.
  • You lead teams and partners in a way that fosters collaboration and bring structure to a multifaceted operational environment.
  • You communicate clearly with various stakeholders and can manage expectations professionally.
  • You are curious and eager to learn, keep a close eye on relevant developments in your field, take into account the wider implications of your actions and decisions, and are not afraid to critically question existing processes and working methods with a view to driving continuous improvement.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a basic grasp of English.
