Our research

We are looking for an in-house nurse to accompany a 93-year-old gentleman, a former doctor, psychiatrist and former mayor of Dilbeek.
He is a cultured, independent personality, and keen to live at home in a dignified and pleasant environment.
The gentleman appreciates discreet but present company. He wants to share moments of conversation with someone who is well-groomed, polite, and attentive, who doesn't spend all day in his room or on his phone.

About the beneficiary

The beneficiary is an 86-year-old man, 1m tall and weighing 85kg. He is generally independent in the acts of daily living, continent day and night, sleeps well, and does not need help at night. He suffers from reduced shoulder mobility (two prostheses) and uses a stand or a wheelchair for long distances. It is also on dialysis three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), which impacts his daily rhythm.

Living environment and environment:

He lives alone in a comfortable house, In the Ghent regionThe position is housed (internally), with internet connection provided. A automatic car (Audi Q3) is made available for travel.
The beneficiary makes stays in Knokke and regularly visits his family.

Regular home visits

Home nurses : daily passage for medical care (particularly in connection with dialysis)

Organization of the day:

Wake up at 6:30 a.m.

Toilet

Breakfast

Departure for the hospital (until 13 p.m.)

Other days :

Wake up between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m.

Morning: reading, computer, administration

Hot meal : 12:30–13 p.m.

Afternoon : walking, television, reading

Cold and varied meal 19h30

Your missions

Help with morning washing (the patient being partially independent)

Meal preparation suitable for a renal diet (list of prohibited foods provided)

Shopping with the beneficiary

Accompaniment to appointments

General maintenance of the living environment

No medical care required: this is provided by home nurses

Required profile :

Women between 45 and 65 years old

Discreet, but capable of taking initiatives

Correct French, with good understanding

Driving license required (Audi Q3 automatic car)

Good cook appreciated, especially for special diets

Smoking is possible, but only outside and never in the presence of the beneficiary.

Conditions financial :

Internal position : 6 days a week

Accommodation provided, with Internet

Salary : €1.900 net/month
