We are looking for a DCIS System Engineer to join our team.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the design, development, and execution of DCIS engineering projects in complex NATO environments.
- Work within a DevOps framework, applying practices such as continuous integration, continuous change management, deployment automation, and system monitoring.
- Support incident, service request, and problem management processes, acting as a senior technical point of resolution.
- Provide engineering support for the planning and execution of NATO‑approved exercises, both on‑site and remotely.
- Design, document, and maintain system architectures, implementation details, and troubleshooting guides.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead technical support teams during projects and operational exercises.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Deputize for senior technical roles when required and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Perform additional duties as required in a mission‑critical environment.
What you will need to bring:
- Strong experience (5+ years) in supporting and implementing enterprise or deployable environments.
- Solid experience with centralized storage technologies (FC, iSCSI, SAS, or hyper‑converged solutions such as vSAN).
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware ESXi and vCenter.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Expert‑level knowledge of Active Directory, identity and access management, including multi‑domain and multi‑forest environments.
- Strong expertise in DNS, system hardening, AD troubleshooting, and Group Policy development.
- Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services or similar application provisioning technologies.
- Knowledge of high availability architectures (failover clustering, database availability groups, stretched clusters, etc.).
- Experience with patch management and anti‑malware update systems in enterprise environments.
- At least 3 years of experience working in DevOps teams with scripting (Bash or PowerShell).
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service transition processes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Holds NATO Secret security clearance.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Belgium.
