Job Description

ROLE

The MSL/Medical Advisor, Cardiology & Metabolic Disorders (CMVD), executes the medical

strategy for CMVD in Belgium & Luxembourg — both in scientific interactions with healthcare

providers and in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Commercial

(marketing & sales, training), Market Access, and Clinical Operations.

The role is key to establishing and maintaining Servier’s scientific image as a trusted partner in

the cardiology and metabolic disorders space, across the entire product life cycle — from

marketed products to late-stage development assets.

The MSL/Medical Advisor CMVD will co-develop and execute the local medical strategy,

ensuring alignment with the global medical strategy and the global/local marketing strategy.

The position combines strategic leadership, scientific expertise, and hands‑on engagement in

medical education, evidence generation, and external stakeholder partnerships.

The MSL/Medical Advisor CMVD follows Servier’s internal directives regarding compliance, the

ethics charter, and medical ethics standards.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific/Medical & Strategic Leadership

Maintain a high level of scientific knowledge in cardiology and metabolic disorders,

including emerging treatment options and evolving medical practice.

Co‑develop and implement the medical strategy for CMVD in collaboration with the

Medical Affairs Director and global medical teams.

Provide scientific insight to inform brand strategy, communication initiatives, and crossfunctional

projects.

Monitor the external medical environment and communicate emerging trends, data,

and guidelines relevant to CMVD.

External Engagement

Establish and nurture strong relationships with Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs),

healthcare professionals, scientific societies, and patient associations in the CMVD field.

Actively participate in national and international medical congresses; gather and share

insights from new data presentations.

Lead and organize local staff meetings, advisory boards, scientific meetings, and

disease awareness activities.

Medical Education & Information

Provide balanced, evidence-based scientific information on Servier products and

relevant therapeutic areas to healthcare providers.

Develop, review, and approve standard responses to medical inquiries, in alignment

with in-label and compliance requirements.

Support field force training on CMVD disease areas, treatment data, and competitive

landscape.

Evidence Generation

Support the design, implementation, and oversight of local phase IV studies, noninterventional

studies, and investigator-initiated trials (IITs), in compliance with internal

and external regulations.

Cross-Functional Support

Provide medical expertise and training to Commercial, Market Access, and all other

internal stakeholders.

Contribute to Market Access submissions for new products, ensuring robust scientific

justification.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure all activities adhere to Servier’s ethics charter, compliance guidelines, and local

legal requirements.

Report adverse events in accordance with company procedures.
