Marine mechanic

For a growing company specialised in ship repair and technical maintenance, we are looking for a MARINE MECHANIC.

As a SHIP MECHANIC, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on ships;
• Working on different vessels, both at the workshop in Ostend and on-site throughout West Flanders;
• Starting on-site and working independently on the scheduled tasks;
• Being responsible for the maintenance, dismantling and assembly of mechanical components;
• Working on engines, drive systems, pumps and other mechanical installations;
• Detecting mechanical faults and defects and providing suitable solutions;
• Carrying out mechanical interventions and repairs;
• Checking and testing installations after completing the work;
• Actively thinking along with technical issues and independently looking for solutions.
