Drive financial performance in a complex project and systems environment

Are you a finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing decisions, and working on large-scale customer projects? We are looking for a Systems Business Finance Controller, reporting to Ukkel, Brussels to support our Projects & Systems business, providing financial leadership across the full project lifecycle.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to commercial and operational stakeholders, delivering financial insights that drive profitable growth, improve forecasting accuracy, and support strategic business decisions.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Sales, Tendering, Project Management, and Operations teams to drive business performance and profitability.
  • Act as the Finance Subject Matter Expert for bids, tenders, quotations, and major customer projects.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and ensure a single source of truth.
  • Monitor project performance, margins, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Challenge and influence business decisions to maximize profitability and value creation.
  • Support process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization based on trust, credibility, and business understanding.

What we're looking for

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Business Finance, Project Controlling, Commercial Finance, Audit, Consulting, or a similar role.
  • Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience in project, systems, infrastructure, engineering, automation, energy, or capital-intensive businesses.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and business partnering skills.
  • Understanding of project-based business models, including tenders, bids, project profitability, and P&L management.
  • Experience within multinational organizations is preferred.
  • Background in Big Four, consulting, or finance roles supporting project portfolios is considered an asset.
