We also develop ourown sonars, which enable to view and detect objects on the waterbed.
Task description
Embedded electronic systems used inunderwater drones generate large amounts of log files containing informationabout the operation of various subsystems, such as sensors, communications,navigation, power management, and other onboard components.
Currently, analysing these logs requiresseveral separate tools, making diagnostics and data interpretationtime-consuming. The objective of this internship is to develop a single desktopapplication capable of importing, organizing, analysing, and visualizing theselogs to simplify system monitoring and troubleshooting.
The mainobjective of the internship is to design and develop a desktop application thatautomatically processes log files generated by the embedded system.
Theapplication should:
- Import one or multiple folderscontaining log files.
- Parse and organize theextracted data into meaningful categories (topics).
- Display interactive graphs andstatistics for data visualization.
- Detect and highlight warnings,anomalies, or unexpected system behavior.
- Provide an intuitive graphicaluser interface that centralizes all analysis tools.
- Be designed with a modular andmaintainable architecture to facilitate future extensions and the addition ofnew log formats or analysis features.

Required skills
- Good command of Dutch orFrench. Can have a conversation in English. You will work in an internationalenvironment.
- Knowledge of Python and C++,experience with object-oriented programming.
- Being able to work in a team.
- Take initiative in resolvingissues and proposing solutions.
- Basic knowledge of dataprocessing and visualization.
- Experience with larger projectsin an agile environment (2-week sprints, scrum, JIRA) is a plus.
- Experience with front-enddevelopment, web technologies, cmake, gtest is a plus.
In Practice
- Duration: flexible, minimum 3 months total.
- Physical presence on site isrequired. Mouscron is about a 15-minute drive from Kortrijk. By publictransport, our offices are 15 minutes by bike or bus from the train station.Occasionally, we can arrange a visit (and transport) to the Ostend factory whereour unmanned vehicles are built.
