UGent-MMS coordinates a 4-year research project on snap fit joints, focusing on experimental characterization of engagement and long-term performance. The PhD uses DIC and high-speed imaging across quasi-static and creep loading, under temperature influence, in collaboration with industry partners.
Applicants should hold a Master degree and be passionate about materials mechanics, working in a multi-institutional setting with industry collaboration.
