The focus of your architecture activities will be to establish resilient enterprise architectures for business and IT problems in line with ING Belgium and Group. Your job purpose is to translate business and tech vision and strategy into effective enterprise architectures by creating, communicating and improving the key principles and architectural stories and models that describe the future state and enable its evolution to deliver the IT Architecture for the organization and its customers. • Draft architectural roadmaps (logical sequence of steps), monitor and manage the progress of the execution of Business & IT-Roadmaps towards the target state.

We look for a colleague with a talent for taking it on and making it happen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a knack for always being a step ahead. In other words, you strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment. You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.

Qualifications and Competences

  • University / Postgraduate (Master’s Degree).
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • In-depth affinity with the architecture practice.
  • A TOGAF, ArchiMate and/or Public Cloud (GCP / Azure) certification will be a plus.
  • Broad interest and knowledge, especially in the areas of Data and Analytics: Data Management, Data Governance, Data Technology as well as analytics, including all flavours of AI: GenAI, Composite AI, Agentic AI, etc.
  • Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements underpinning and constraining the area of data and analytics (e.g. GPDR, BCBS 239, AI Act).
  • Proficient in English (ING’s corporate language) and Dutch or French.

Behavioural competences: innovative, collaborative, communicative, managing complexity in a qualitative way.

Technical competences: special attention to data, privacy, security and ethics; autonomous working as go-to-person for architects, business and IT leadership.

Benefits

  • Personal growth & challenging work with endless opportunities to realise your ambitions.
  • An informal, dynamic environment with innovative colleagues supporting your endeavours.
  • A progressive and agile way of working, where new ideas are valued ahead of convention.
  • A hybrid way of working with autonomy to organise work flexibly while ensuring continuity, customer service and employee wellbeing.
  • Participation in courses and trainings offered by the Tech Academy.
  • Challenging local and ING Group projects & a steep learning curve.
