As a Technical Buyer, you are responsible for the operational procurement process for materials and components, with a strong focus on technical content, availability and continuity. You play a key role in improving supplier performance, monitoring cost efficiency and optimising supply chain processes.

Your responsibilities
- Managing, analysing and optimising procurement flows through the ERP system
- Translating MRP proposals into purchasing decisions
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks (dual sourcing, safety stock, etc.)
- Working closely with production, planning and dispatch
- Coordinating escalations in the event of delivery issues
- Optimising inventory levels and parameters (lead times, MOQs, safety stocks)
Your profile
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree, with extensive experience in a technical or supply chain environment
- At least 5–10 years of experience in a technical purchasing role within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience with MRP/ERP systems (such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong technical understanding (drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes)
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on mentality
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Results-oriented, with a focus on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Problem-solving and decisive
- Able to work under pressure and set priorities
