Knauf Insulation is currently looking for a Circular Economy Manager in Visé (Belgium) and reporting to the Group Sustainability Director.

As the Circular Economy Manager, you will lead the circular economy part of Knauf Insulation’s sustainability journey and help ensure the business is ready for the future in a fast-changing environment. You will align efforts across the organisation to deliver our targets, support the implementation of key programmes, and encourage the sharing of best practice across teams. You will also help establish reporting tools, communicate progress internally, assess performance against objectives, and coordinate corrective actions where needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and lead the Circular Economy (CE) Strategy

    Provide guidance to market and operational teams on setting up recycling services across different markets, covering business, regulatory, and operational aspects.

    Lead the Circular Economy SteerCo and coordinate with other departments supporting the strategy.

    Connect regions and departments to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.

    Monitor & inform on the speed of the transition towards the CE objective & targets, and coordinate implementation of corrective actions where needed.

  • Drive the transition program towards implementation of the Circular Economy strategy with a clear focus on the take-back services for off-cuts

    Keep overview of the projects, running or in the pipeline, to achieve the CE targets.

    Build and keep momentum into the different actions plans to deliver on the CE strategy.

    Create and maintain the CE dashboard and share it to ensure that it is part of the management review at all levels.

    Provide input & participate in the key KI projects related to achieving the Circular Economy targets

    Act as the internal knowledge partner on circular economy topics through internal communication and awareness raising.

  • Coordinate the packaging roadmap to integrate new sustainability requirements coming both from legislation and market demand:

    Coordinate all projects to fulfill the PPWR (Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation) requirements.

    Translate local needs into transversal packaging projects.

    Create and maintain a mid-term strategic packaging roadmap in coordination with all relevant internal teams.

  • Act as the internal reference point for circular economy and packaging topic:

    Stay up-to-date on the Circular Economy developments in our business environment and share key learnings internally.

    Ensure that waste management services are harmonized across the company.

    Represent KI in external events related to circular economy.

    Represent KI in Circular Economy discussions at Knauf level.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and tools:

    I know and I participate: I actively participate when an improvement proposal is made using the techniques and tools at my disposal.

    I apply: I regularly use the acquired skills (RCA, 5S, improvement proposal).

    I suggest: If I detect a potential improvement, I do not hesitate to bring it up, along with a solution proposal for the project to be carried out.

    I lead: If an improvement project is proposed and considered valid and that I have the agreement of my hierarchy, I carry out this project with the necessary management and team.
