NATURE OF TASKS

  • Analysis of Business requirements.
  • Documentation of Business requirements.
  • Business model analysis.
  • Business process analysis
  • Business processes modelling
  • Functional requirements and business cases analysis.
  • Risk analysis.
  • Assistance in Business cases, Vision documents, Project Charters and Security Plans

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

  • Min. a bachelor’s level or3 years of higher education

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE AND TECHNOLOGIES

  • At least 1 year of specific expertise in Good knowledge of information systems matters
  • At least 1 year of specific expertise in Good knowledge of large organisation administrative business processes
  • At least 3 years of specific expertise in Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, interaction diagrams etc.).
  • At least 3 years of specific expertise in Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value
  • At least 1 year of specific expertise in Good knowledge of Wiki and collaborative sites.
  • At least 3 years of specific expertise in Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile)
  • At least 5 years of specific expertise in Knowledge of confluence and Jira

KNOWLEDGE AND (NON-TECHNICAL) SKILLS

  • Rapid self-starting capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis.
  • Capability to speak to business and technical audiences.
  • Strong capacity to give high-level presentations. Excellent critical thinker, by using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Ability to apply high quality standards.
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator.
  • Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

  • Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
  • Excellent Team Player
  • Ability to understand, speak other EU languages will be an advantage;
  • High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in that department contain personal and confidential data
