As a Purchasing Manager, the employee plays an important role in managing supplier relationships and executing purchasing & warehousing activities across both Telix Innovations (located at Herstal) and Telix Manufacturing Belgium (located at Seneffe) sites in EMEA. This position supports the full procurement lifecycle—from supplier selection and qualification to negotiation and day-to-day purchasing—ensuring alignment with operational needs, quality standards, and cost-efficiency goals. The role contributes to the continuity of supply, optimization of inventory, and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for Purchasing and Warehousing teams, ensuring effective coordination, planning, performance management, and development of team members to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Supplier management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Lead or support supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and ensure reliable supply
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to periodic evaluations and audits
- Maintain up-to-date supplier documentation and records in compliance with quality standards
Team lead
- Manage the Purchasing and Warehousing team, ensuring clear communication of priorities, effective task allocation, and alignment with operational and strategic goals
- Support team development through coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability, rigor, efficiency and continuous improvement
Purchasing & warehousing controls
- Execute purchasing activities for raw materials, consumables, and services across both sites (TI & TMS) in EMEA
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders in the ERP system (e.g., SAP B1), good receipt in the ERP and QMS systems (eg. Master Control)
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D to align purchasing with operational needs
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate procurement needs to prevent shortages
Compliance & Quality Support
- Ensure purchasing & warehousing activities comply with cGMP, internal SOPs & SOX
- Support quality processes such as Deviations, CAPA, and Change Controls related to procurement
- Participate in audits and contribute to documentation required by regulatory bodies
Education And Experience
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in purchasing or sourcing operations, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical or similar industry)
- Proven experience in team leadership or people management, preferably within purchasing, warehousing, or supply chain functions
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP B1) and eQMS platforms (e.g., MasterControl) is a strong asset
- Experience supporting quality processes such as Deviations, CAPA, and Change Controls is desirable
- Experience with supplier qualification and negotiation processes
- Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written
