Our client, a prominent research organization focused on environmental data, is looking for a specialist to support advanced earth observation systems. The role involves managing scalable cloud platforms and big data analytics infrastructures to process vast datasets from satellite and airborne sources.

  • Support DevOps and project-specific requirements within complex cloud environments.
  • Maintain and take responsibility for the operational infrastructure alongside the engineering team.
  • Resolve configuration and infrastructure-as-code tickets for internal projects.
  • Deploy and support new components within the software stack and public cloud environments.
  • Analyze complex system issues using monitoring, logging, and metrics to propose efficiency improvements.
  • Implement security best practices throughout the infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT architects and engineers to optimize software stack components.
  • You have a Master’s degree in applied IT, Industrial Sciences, or an equivalent technical field.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience with cloud applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • You bring experience in Kubernetes environments and proficiency in writing Helm charts.
  • You have experience with CI/CD, configuration, and automation frameworks including Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Packer.
  • You possess experience in Linux native environments such as CentOS, RedHat, or Alma Linux.
  • You have knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for cloud environments and general ICT infrastructure solutions.
  • You bring experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, or OpenStack and have participated in migration trajectories.
  • You have experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • You are proactive, service-minded, and possess strong analytical skills.
  • You are Native in Dutch with a fluent command of English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with distributed processing tools like Apache Spark or Dask.
  • Knowledge of Python or Golang.
  • Ability to take ownership of specific software stack components.
  • Start date: 01/11/2026.
