Duties and responsabilities
The Piping Engineer will mainly be responsible for the:
- development of piping design consistent with the P&ID drawings;
- creating pipe specs into the 3D model;
- prepare and lead 60% and 90% 3D model reviews (up unitl LOD400), including clash checks;
- preparing, checking and issuing isometrics;
- prepare bill of materials;
- prepare technical specifications / tendering files for piping package; performing technical bid analysis;
- provide input to the cost and schedule estimates;
- prepare the work and coordinate a team of piping designers/engineers.
Profile
- Piping / Mechanical engineer with minimum 3 years of industrial experience (Oil and Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical / Pharma etc.).
- Can work independently to achieve the project goals.
- Is a dynamic and flexible person, committed to the project and company goals and open to continuous learning.
- Has a good understanding of project phases (e.g. basic, detail, construction).
Education/ competencies
- Batchelor degree from a technical university.
- You have good knowledge of English; Dutch, French, German are an advantage.
- Good knowledge of: AutoCad, Plant 3D, Aveva, Navisworks.
