Are you passionate about poultry nutrition, specialty feed ingredients, and turning scientific insights into innovative commercial solutions?

Agrifirm is looking for a Poultry Researcher to strengthen our Global R&D Feed & Specialties team. In this role, you will focus on the development, evaluation, and technical validation of specialty feed ingredients for poultry. You will play a key role in translating scientific discoveries into products that improve animal performance, gut health, sustainability, and profitability.

You will collaborate closely with R&D colleagues, Category Management, Marketing, Commercial teams, universities, and external innovation partners.

As Poultry Researcher, you will be responsible for building the scientific foundation behind our (future) specialty ingredient portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying new opportunities for specialty feed ingredients, and nutritional concepts in poultry.
• Designing, coordinating, and interpreting poultry research trials
• Evaluating ingredients related to gut health, digestibility, feed efficiency, immunity, intestinal integrity, and sustainability.
• Developing technical proof-of-concept and proof-of-value for new specialty solutions.
• Working with external research organizations and universities
• Analyzing and interpreting experimental data and translating results into actionable recommendations.
• Supporting product launches through technical documentation, claims substantiation, and scientific communication.
• Monitoring scientific developments, emerging technologies, and market trends within poultry nutrition.
• Presenting results internally, externally, and at scientific conferences.

• A gross monthly salary between€4.000,- and €6.000,-(based on full time) depending on experience and work location (Belgium or the Netherlands);

Who are you?

• MSc or PhD in Poultry Science, Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in poultry nutrition research, preferably involving feed additives or specialty ingredients.
• Work experience within an R&D department in a commercial organization is preferred;
• Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary international teams.
• Excellent command of English.
