A well-established international provider of managed cloud services and technical consulting is expanding its Belgian operations. It supports organisations that depend on business-critical applications, including SAP, and is known for dependable, locally delivered technical support.
To support continued growth, the company is looking for a Lead SAP Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership and strong customer relationships. The role is split between hands-on technical work (roughly 50-70%) and leading the team and its customers.
Responsibilities
- Organising and coordinating the team’s day-to-day operations and workload
- Coaching and developing colleagues, including performance conversations and input on hiring
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of customers
- Monitoring incidents, changes, projects and SLA performance
- Advising customers and leading escalations, both technical and organisational
- Supporting business-critical SAP environments and leading upgrades, migrations and cloud projects
- Driving automation, standardisation and continuous service improvement
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as an SAP Basis / SAP BC engineer
- Hands-on experience with Linux, databases, VMware and/or cloud platforms
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantage
- Previous team lead experience is a plus, but senior technical professionals with leadership ambitions are equally welcome
