Location: Belgium

Contract Length: 12 Months (Initial Term)

Rotation: 10 Days On / 4 Days Off

Hours: 45 Hours Per Week

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Brightsmith is supporting a major construction project in Belgium and is seeking an experienced Electrical QA Engineer to oversee the quality assurance of electrical installation works on a large-scale project. This freelance opportunity is suited to professionals with strong QA/QC experience, a proven track record of coordinating inspections and quality processes, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and compliance performance on site.

Working closely with project leadership, you will take ownership of day-to-day electrical quality activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications, industry standards, and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all electrical QA activities from installation through to handover.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across your work areas.
  • Oversee quality control processes, inspections, and project documentation.
  • Carry out inspections to verify electrical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and coordinate quality activities with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractor quality performance and ensure timely close-out of non-conformances and punch list items.
  • Lead weekly quality coordination meetings with subcontractors.
  • Support commissioning activities and final project handover documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering electrical QA/QC on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in an Electrical QA, QA/QC Engineer, or Electrical Inspector position.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation standards, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple site activities within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Data Centre experience.
  • Experience working on international construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and project handover requirements.
