As a Senior Project Management Lead, you’ll own project-management execution for 2 strategic warehouse-automation programs at the Distribution Center in Courcelles. You’ll bring structure and visibility to scope, schedule, cost, risks, decisions, supplier actions, and reporting for investments of approximately €10M or more. The engineering team will remain responsible for technical design, validation decisions, and engineering judgment, while you lead the project controls, coordination, governance, and delivery follow-up through commissioning, go-live, and operational handover.
Your missions
- Own project controls for 2 strategic programs, including the consolidated project plan, milestones, dependencies, resource views, 90-day look-ahead, and delivery reporting.
- Run the project operating rhythm through weekly workstream reviews, monthly cost reviews, action follow-up, RAID logs, decision logs, change logs, and concise status updates.
- Coordinate financial tracking with Finance and Procurement, including purchase orders, actuals, commitments, accruals, invoices, forecasts, and budget variance explanations.
- Build your own cost, efficiency, productivity, capacity, and schedule analyses to support business cases, project decisions, and clear recommendations.
- Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Quality and Validation, EHS, IT/JJT, site stakeholders, OEMs, system integrators, and suppliers. Drive actions to completion and elevate blocked decisions early.
- Prepare steering materials, decision packs, meeting notes, document-control records, acceptance criteria, handover packs, lessons learned, final cost reconciliation, and project close-out activities.
Your profile
- 7 to 10 years of experience in project or program management across engineering, automation, capital equipment, distribution, manufacturing, or facilities, including direct leadership of warehouse-automation projects above €10M.
- Proven accountability for CAPEX, schedule, forecasts, accruals, risks, issues, changes, suppliers, system integrators, executive reporting, commissioning, go-live, and operational handover.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Planisware, SharePoint, and Teams. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with Waterfall or stage-gate project delivery, with Agile techniques where useful. You follow up firmly, keep owners accountable, and elevate issues at the right time.
- Experience in a regulated, safety-critical, or quality-controlled environment, with knowledge of GxP, validation, change control, GMP, MedTech, warehouse automation, robotics, conveyors, WCS, WES, WMS, AS/RS, or AMR/AGV systems.
- Fluent English is required. Professional French is strongly preferred for the Courcelles site. PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, FPX, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications are a plus. On-site presence is required at least 2 days per week.
