Overview

Role: Operations Coordinator (Ops Runner) at Alan. Based in France, Belgium or Spain. You will join a team of Operations professionals delivering insurance and health services across multiple countries, interacting with Engineering, Product, Care and other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Run our Insurance or Health services processes (Ops Runner) and ensure day-to-day follow-up and monitoring of operations
  • Flag risks and opportunities and contribute to continuous improvements of processes
  • Operate and supervise partnerships (e.g., teleconsultation, claim operators), participate in negotiations, and ensure business continuity
  • Perform controls on daily operations to verify correct decisions and identify training needs
  • Escalate feedback and help prioritize initiatives to improve process and service quality
  • Implement continuous improvements to processes (roughly 20–30% of the time), such as working with product teams to automate tasks, improving external communications, or auditing processes

In Details – Your Missions

  • Operating our processes: invoicing or claims treatment, growing and managing networks of providers, supporting internal teams (live and via documentation)
  • Contributing to the definition and owning the best monitoring scheme to track volumes, efficiency, SLAs, and to identify risks and areas for improvement (internally or with service providers)
  • Supervising partnerships (e.g., teleconsultation, claim operators), participating in negotiations and daily communication to ensure business continuity
  • Performing controls on daily operations to ensure correct decisions and identify training needs
  • Escalating feedback to prioritize and support initiatives that make processes and services more delightful and efficient

Experience

  • Open to candidates from diverse backgrounds; role aims at A2–B level
  • Experience operating processes and services for companies scaling up or in industrial/logistic contexts
  • Experience in support functions (customer support, people operations, etc.)
  • Customer-facing experience (e.g., account management or customer success communications)
  • Experience in event coordination is a plus

  • Strong in delivering and optimizing operations; comfortable with technical processes and making them clear for operators and members
  • Problem-solver with a focus on member and customer satisfaction
  • Analytical skills to dive into data
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-up and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and Dutch
  • Ability to work and learn independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable with flexibility to handle variable situations
  • Experience in insurance or healthcare is a plus
