We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role requires significant experience in data governance and data quality, with a deep understanding of frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
Ensure data quality standards and monitor data quality metrics.
Collaborate with Data Management and IT teams to implement data methodologies and technologies.
Document data governance processes and present findings to stakeholders.
Manage metadata using tools such as Collibra, Informatica, and Ovaledge.
Facilitate change management initiatives and build internal networks across departments.
Required qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance and data quality.
Proficiency in French and/or Dutch, with English as an asset.
Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
Experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Ovaledge).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Nice to have
Knowledge of NIS2 regulations.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC standards (ISO/IEC 38505, ISO 8000, GDPR).
Experience with data modeling (UML) and data flow modeling (Archimate).
Professional experience in regulated sectors such as finance, health, or public sector.
