VITO Research in Belgium seeks a postdoctoral researcher in the SPOT team to develop safer and more sustainable flame-retardant polymer formulations. You will synthesize FR additives, incorporate them by melt compounding, and evaluate fire performance and material properties.
The project emphasizes SSbD principles, publication/patent outputs, and collaboration with industry. Initial contract is 1 year with possible extension; start date negotiable, ideally early 2027.
