As Utilities & HSE Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that utilities and HSE policy are managed smoothly, safely and in compliance with regulations at the site in Maasmechelen, LIM, BE. You ensure that critical facilities continue to operate reliably and that health, safety and the environment are embedded in day-to-day operations.

You will combine operational oversight with a clear focus on improvement and work closely with internal teams, engineering, operations and external partners. In this role, you will maintain a visible presence on the shop floor and take an active role in monitoring, analysing and improving performance, risks and processes.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

Monitoring utilities such as energy, water, compressed air, steam and other support systems.
Ensuring the continuity, reliability and efficient use of technical facilities.
Developing, implementing and monitoring HSE guidelines, procedures and preventive measures.
Carrying out and coordinating risk analyses, audits, inspections and incident follow-up.
Analysing deviations, trends and areas for improvement, and translating these into concrete actions.
Leading and supporting internal stakeholders and external service providers within your area of responsibility.
Monitoring legal obligations and contributing to a strong safety culture.
Reporting on KPIs, incidents, improvement actions and operational results.

You are a hands-on manager who brings structure, sets clear priorities and inspires people in an environment where reliability, safety and continuous improvement are central. Voor deze functie zoeken we een professional met 5 tot 10 jaar ervaring in een technische, operationele of HSE-gedreven omgeving. Je beschikt over een sterk analytisch vermogen, een pragmatische aanpak en voldoende maturiteit om verschillende belangen te verbinden en beslissingen te onderbouwen.

Daarnaast verwachten we het volgende:

Een bachelor- of masterdiploma in een technische richting, veiligheidskunde, engineering of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
Stevige kennis van utilities, technische installaties en/of onderhoudsprocessen.
Ervaring met HSE, preventie, risicobeheer, compliance en incidentopvolging.
Vermogen om procedures en verbetertrajecten op te zetten en te verankeren.
Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een natuurlijke overtuigingskracht op alle niveaus in de organisatie.
Een proactieve, gestructureerde en resultaatgerichte werkstijl.
Oog voor detail zonder het geheel uit het oog te verliezen.
Vlot kunnen samenwerken met interne teams en externe partners.
Goede kennis van het Nederlands; kennis van andere talen is een plus.

Je bent iemand die verantwoordelijkheid neemt, vlot schakelt tussen operationele vragen en strategische prioriteiten, en energie haalt uit een rol met impact op veiligheid, continuïteit en efficiëntie.
