Are you passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs)? Would you like to apply your expertise to innovative AI solutions within a European institutional environment?
Fujitsu is looking for an experienced Data Scientist specialising in Text Mining / NLP to join a project for an EU Institution in Brussels.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and optimise advanced AI, NLP, and Machine Learning models.
- Work with LLMs, RAG frameworks, and Transformer-based architectures.
- Develop text processing solutions, including tokenisation, named entity recognition, classification, clustering, and topic detection.
- Fine-tune pre-trained models for domain-specific applications.
- Build robust, scalable, and efficient Python-based solutions.
- Contribute to ML architecture, model performance optimisation, and AI solution integration.
- Conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, and communicate insights through reports and data visualisations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality AI/ML solutions.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Proven experience in Machine Learning, NLP, and text mining.
- Strong Python skills and experience with libraries such as Pandas, spaCy, NLTK, and Hugging Face.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, pre-trained models, and Transformer architectures.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of scalable ML architectures, model deployment, GPU optimisation, and experimentation techniques.
- Experience with AI-powered coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Kiro.
- Knowledge of data visualisation, unit testing, continuous code delivery, and ML bias mitigation.
Nice to have:
- EU citizenship is mandatory.
- Relocation to Brussels is required.
- The role follows a near-site working model.
