Job Description
As a Project Manager, you’ll work on projects within the Engineering & Automation department for process equipment supporting CAR-T manufacturing. You’ll work closely with the Director and Managers of the MAM (Make Asset Management) department, as well as Project Engineers and internal and external stakeholders. Your work will cover project planning, engineering delivery, automation systems, technical problem-solving, and project portfolio support in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Your missions
- Manage the long-term planning of Engineering & Automation projects.
- Initiate projects according to the agreed planning and support Project Engineers in applying standard project principles.
- Manage your own engineering projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Design GxP-compliant automation systems for process equipment, including historian integration, server-hosted software for equipment connectivity, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Represent engineering projects within the MAM department and with external stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities, priorities, risks, deliverables, and status reporting.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within projects and engineering processes.
- Support knowledge management within project teams through gap analyses, documentation, and training for junior colleagues.
- Address complex technical challenges that may affect the department’s priorities.
- Support the management of the department’s project portfolio, including resource planning and project scheduling.
- Promote strong safety and quality standards throughout project delivery.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification gained through professional experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management or as a people leader.
- Experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing, process equipment, or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Clear and effective communication skills, particularly when explaining complex engineering topics.
- Ability to work efficiently with appropriate project management and engineering tools.
- Ability to communicate project status clearly to different audiences, including technical teams, management, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
