Our YouGov Shopper team is expanding rapidly in the Nordics. For this exciting journey, we’re teaming up with Heco, who developed an app called Optius to passively collect purchase data to understand buying behavior. Based on this data, YouGov is creating a nationally representative shopper panel to provide insights on the FMCG and retail industry in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and now also Finland.
Therefore, we are looking for a proactive and motivated Data Management Specialist, who is ready to make this next step a reality together with us.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do:
- Setting up and maintaining a database that covers the Finnish FMCG market and maps the retail landscape.
- Offer support and monitor product classification processes, using automated tools and human expertise to ensure products are assigned to the correct product groups and attributes.
- Review, validate and resolve classification exceptions where automated processes require human intervention.
- Continuously improve data quality standards and contribute to improving recognition and classification accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline data management processes, including through automation where relevant.
- Work closely with a dedicated and dynamic team for this new initiative, while being part of a broader local and international data management community.
These are the essentials for having an interview:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, data, analytics or a related field; a first professional experience is a plus.
- You are an advanced Finnish speaker and you combine this with a good knowledge of English.
- Genuine interest in FMCG and retail, and you are eager to develop expertise in the Finnish market.
- Combine strong analytical skills with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Interest in AI-powered tools and are eager to learn how they can support data management and classification processes.
- Keen eye for detail and experience working with large datasets containing both numerical and textual data.
- Comfortable working with Excel and other data management tools, and you have strong communication skills.
- You are self-driven, proactive and comfortable taking ownership while collaborating effectively with others.
We offer a hybrid working model for our colleagues (normally x2 days p/w in office) and core benefits including:
- Competitive salary package, depending on your educational background and experience.
- An unique opportunity to build and shape a new market panel from the ground up.
- Supportive and ambitious team where you can be yourself, take ownership and make an impact
- The opportunity to further develop your professional skills and talents and build your career within FMCG and data.
- An exciting work environment that brings people together of different nationalities.
