I’m currently supporting an innovative biotech working at the forefront of microbiome research and looking for a freelance Biostatistician / R&D Scientist to join their team.
The role combines microbiome research, statistical analysis and biological data interpretation across laboratory and clinical studies, working closely with R&D, clinical, bioinformatics and external partners.
Key experience:
- Microbiome, microbial ecology or host–microbe research
- Statistical analysis of complex biological and multi-omics datasets
- Strong R or SAS programming skills—Python is a plus
- Experimental design and analysis across R&D studies
- Bioinformatics and reproducible analysis workflows
- Data visualisation and translating complex findings into actionable scientific insights
Ghent, Belgium—2 days per week onsite
