As Chief Officer on board jack‑up vessel, you are in charge of the navigation team in a 12‑hour watch under the supervision of the captain. You serve as the captain’s right‑hand person and act as his or her substitute in their absence. You are responsible for safe and efficient jacking operations and deck management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating daily deck operations
- Supervising the deck crew
- In charge of jacking operations
- Implementing safety procedures and VMS
- Organizing emergency drills
- Analyzing incidents and following up on audits
- Navigation and voyage planning
- Keeping the ship’s log and records up to date
- Responsible for ballast operations and waste management
- Assisting with mobilizations and repairs
Qualifications
- You hold a valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate license
- Jacking experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to work in offshore rotations
