The role

Talent Partner

Goodshift is a curated talent network of people who are looking to build careers in climate, health or social impact. They talk to Clay, our Career Companion, and we match them with jobs that match their values, culture and skills. More than 1,100 people have joined so far. We work with 15 companies in Belgium, including Bolt, BloomUp and Plan International Belgium. Talents can use our platform for free, and companies pay us when someone gets hired.

Clay, our Career Companion, does the profiling and proposes matches. You bring the judgement and get to focus on the human part. You get to know a candidate in a short call, get to know a hiring manager in one conversation, and make the intro that gets someone hired.

You're not an agency recruiter. You're part of the core team, and your feedback makes Clay and our matching better, which in turn makes your job easier.

What you do

1. Read the person

You get to the essence of a person fast: what makes them tick, their skills and experience, where they want to go next. Clay already knows the basics, so your calls go straight to what matters.

2. Understand the role

You talk to hiring managers to learn what makes or breaks a candidate for them. You run briefings and set up company profiles on Goodshift.

3. Make the match

You review the matches Clay proposes and decide who moves forward. When the community has no strong match for a key role, you run a small outbound campaign and bring in new talent along the way.

4. Make the intro

You introduce the candidate to the company with a warm intro that shows exactly why they fit.

A day as Talent Partner

Overnight, Clay found matches for people who just joined and roles that just opened. You review them with everything Clay has gathered. For some you let the system contact the candidate automatically. Others you call yourself. The ones who say yes, you introduce to the hiring managers at our customers.

You check who joined since yesterday and reach out to the high potentials. You screen inbound applicants with short, sharp calls.

In the afternoon, you're on calls with new customers. You spot a new open role and call the hiring manager to understand what they really need. You pitch them strong candidates.

You go home knowing which candidates moved forward today, and why.

Who you are

  • You have 3+ years of experience in recruitment, agency or in-house, across white-collar profiles. If you come from an agency, you've done the full cycle, from sourcing to intro.
  • You get energy from talking to a lot of people. You see the red thread in a profile within minutes, with Clay's insights to back you up.
  • You think like an account manager. A customer's open role is your problem until it's filled.
  • You know what's important for a hiring manager and highlight the right points when introducing talent.
  • You're organised under load. You juggle many candidates and customers without dropping anyone.
  • You want your work to count in climate, health or social equality.
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently. This is a must.

What makes you stand out

  • You already use AI tools in your work, or you're curious to.
  • You can read a company and tell if the culture fits, not just the skills.
  • You like building. The role will grow with us, but the core stays the same: intros that get people hired.
  • You speak French too. A plus, not a must.

What you get

  • You join early and shape how we build Goodshift, while the team is still small.
  • Clay handles the admin. You do the human side of recruitment.
  • Every placement moves someone into work in climate, health or social equality.
  • Hybrid, with office days in Ghent on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Full-time payroll contract, or freelance base + commission.

How we hire

  • A 30-minute call with the founders.
  • A short case: you review real matches and write an intro.
  • A day with the team at our office in Ghent.
