HEC LIEGE IS RECRUITING AN INSTRUCTOR FOR THE “DATAMANAGEMENT” COURSEInternal and external call

JOB DESCRIPTION

Preparation and delivery of the DATA MANAGEMENT course at HEC Liège: 30 hours in the first semester from 13 to 15 on Monday afternoon

Organization and facilitation of course sessions devoted to data collection, organization, storage, governance and analysis.

Supervision and guidance of students in their individual and/or group assignments. Assessment of students’ written work, presentations and participation. Coordination with the academic staff responsible for the programme.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A PhD in in data science, information systems, management, economics, statistics or a closely related field.

Sound knowledge of data management, databases, data quality and data governance. Previous teaching or professional experience in data management is an asset.

Excellent command of English, as the course will be taught in English. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to use interactive, practical and case-based teaching methods.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Conditions of employment: Paid teaching appointment. Type of contract: One-year replacement contract. Remuneration: Financial details are available upon request.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Applications will be reviewed following the application deadline (5 September at the latest). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview during the week following the deadline, i.e. the week starting 7 September 2026. Candidates may be asked to briefly present their teaching approach to the Data Management course during the interview.
