Brussel Hoofdstad, Belgique HumanInTech Temps plein 55 000 € - 75 000 € Contrat

What you will do

You will join a multidisciplinary team working on a critical IT programme within a Belgian public-sector organisation. The programme manages intelligent camera systems that recognise vehicle number plates and compare them against available data. System performance, connectivity and data flow are essential.

As analyst-tester, you will identify and define the various tests required: functional, technical, acceptance, regression and others. For each, you will prepare a brief description and a test plan in consultation with developers and business analysts in the team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Drafting test plans and detailed test scenarios
  • Executing and re-testing according to your test scripts
  • Maintaining automated testing to detect problems quickly and efficiently
  • Documenting findings and any errors discovered
  • Preparing reports on progress and results
  • Recommending testing types, strategies and environments
  • Collaborating with IT and security teams to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Signalling structural problems, improving work instructions and updating documentation

You will quickly familiarise yourself with the subject matter and the associated challenges and risks of the system. You are service- and user-oriented, and you document the progress and results of the various tests carefully.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, particularly in setting up and documenting tests
  • Knowledge of automated testing and test tools
  • Understanding of test data and different test environments
  • Basic technical insight into IT systems and applications
  • Experience with different types of testing: functional, technical, acceptance and regression
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills in Dutch, French and English
  • Methodical, accurate and thorough working style
  • A critical eye: you ask the right questions and follow-up questions
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to share your knowledge with colleagues
  • Insight into priorities and planning
