ROLE SUMMARY:
St. John’s International School in Waterloo is looking for a full-time Multi-Skilled Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team immediately.
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Worker assists the Facility Coordinator with the day-to-day management of the school’s facilities and services, helping to maintain a safe, functional and pleasant environment for students and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role includes a variety of practical and maintenance tasks across the school campus, including:
- General repairs and maintenance of buildings and facilities
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
- Assembly, installation and repair of equipment and furniture
- Outdoor maintenance and upkeep of the school grounds
- Assist with setting up classrooms and common areas as needed
- Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment
- Assist with internal moves and the installation of new equipment
- Preparation and setup of school events (meetings, exams, ceremonies, sporting activities)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has solid practical and technical skills
- Is versatile, hands-on and able to work independently
- Has a good understanding of general building maintenance
- Is reliable, proactive and solution-oriented
- Has good organisational and teamwork skills
- Has previous experience in a similar role
- Has a good command of English and/or French
