As a Global Project Engineer, you will work on strategic international CAPEX projects ranging from process improvements to large-scale production expansions and strategic investment projects. You support projects that improve capacity, efficiency, food safety, sustainability, and operational performance.

You are involved in the full project lifecycle: from concept and feasibility studies through basic design, to commissioning and handover on site. You collaborate closely with fellow engineers, local plants, suppliers, contractors, engineering partners, R&D, operations, quality, and procurement teams across the globe. You report to the Group Engineering & HSE Director.

What you will take ownership of

  • Develop layouts, P&IDs, component lists, utility loads, functional descriptions and technical specifications.
  • Build cost estimates and contribute to financial business cases.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors, engineering partners and local engineering teams.
  • Support procurement: define RFQs and make technical evaluations.
  • Follow projects during detailed design, construction, FAT, installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygienic design, HSE and Puratos technical standards.
  • Coach and support local teams through troubleshooting, engineering expertise sharing and technical assistance.

Profile

Pragmatic engineer with an international mindset

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering Biochemistry, Chemical, Food, Electromechanics), Bioscience Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in project engineering and CAPEX projects in industrial manufacturing environments.
  • On the wishlist: experience in food, dairy, ingredients, beverage, or other hygienic production environments as these industries typically involve technologies such as liquid or powder processing, aseptic, fermentation, CIP, packaging, plant utilities and automation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Hands‑on and solution oriented.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder.
  • Comfortable working in an international and matrix organization.
  • Pragmatic and resilient during project execution and start‑up phases.
  • Autonomous and eager to take ownership.
  • Curious and motivated to learn and grow.
