Application scientist

Rousselot  is the world leader in the production and distribution of high quality collagens and gelatins. Our products have applications in confectionery, capsules, health & nutrition products, as well in pharmaceutical, biomedical and technical industries. With a worldwide network of production plants and sales offices, Rousselot ensures close proximity to its customers.

We are looking for a full-time “Application Scientist” in our Global application center in food, health & nutrition and bio-medical applications .

Within this role you will focus on Health & Nutrition segment
Job description Area of responsibility and related tasks:

Process:

• Study of the different kinds of Rousselot’s gelatin & collagen in the diverse application domains: Food, nutrition and biomedical
• Carry out lab analyses for trouble-shooting and improving customer products
• Execute trials & train customers, colleagues and distributors on Rousselot’s gelatin & collagen applications
• Accurately analyze and interpret critical data
• Participate in the redaction of protocols and reports for lab studies
• Report to internal & external stakeholders the progress and results of your ongoing projects in the Global Application Center

Maintenance and technique:

• Maintenance of the Lab equipment.
• Contact with equipment suppliers for regular or occasional maintenance .

Safety and procedures:

• Comply with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Good laboratory practices, application of quality standards & 5S
• Follow up & update of the procedures in SOL & Sharepoint

Profile You have a Bachelor or Master in a scientific degree or through experience in health/nutrition/pharmaceutical/biomedical science.
• You have at least 4 years experience in food or healthy nutrition.
• Experience in experience in formulation of food products is a big asset.
• You have strong organizational skills, you are stress resistant and are able to handle different subjects at the same time. Independency and leadership skills are essential.
• You have excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills, knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset.
