Functieomschrijving A QA engineer ’s duties can be diverse and comprehensive. Research and analyze product features being tested.
Design test goals and system tests.
Document test cases.
Code automated tests.
Record test progress and results.
Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes.
Identify, isolate, and track bugs and any potential problems throughout testing.
Perform manual explorative and regression testing.
A QA engineer should have a thorough understanding of QA testing environments and software development life cycles.
Bachelor’s degree in applied computer science.
Profound written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
Clear and accurate written and verbal communication is a must, but a quality software assurance engineer must also have more than a little tact.
Experience in working with virtual teams is preferred. Ability to work as part of a team.
Part of working on a team means working within other people’s timelines and finishing your work within reasonable deadlines. 2 – 3 years in software testing and test automation.
~2 – 3 years in Java, test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium.
~ Good understanding of Linux.
~ Experience with test tracking tool such as TestRail, and bug tracking tools such as Jira is a plus.
