Freelance Commissioning Engineer | Mobile Robot

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Mobile Robot Commissioning Engineer to take the lead on mapping, navigation setup and full on-site integration. The Role You will be responsible for bringing a fleet of AGVs/AMRs into operation on a live production site. This includes: On-site mapping, navigation setup, and route configuration Performing commissioning, testing and optimisation of AGVs/AMRs Implementing safety zones, traffic rules and collision-avoidance logic Calibration of sensors: LIDAR, scanners, and navigation systems Integrating mobile robots with conveyors, lifting systems and existing automation Troubleshooting robot behaviour, mission logic and navigation errors Working closely with internal engineering teams to ensure a smooth go-live Technical Background We're Looking For Proven experience commissioning AGVs/AMRs Experience with mapping, SLAM or navigation setup Hands-on experience with mobile robot brands (MiR, Omron, Hikrobot, Kivnon, DS Automotion, etc.) Strong understanding of industrial automation environments Dutch-speaking and able to work fully on-site What's On Offer Freelance contract (6 months) Attractive hourly rate Chance to lead the commissioning on a flagship mobile robotics project Work directly with a respected engineering team developing next-generation intralogistics systems
