They operate a world class analytical department focused on the drug development domain and small molecule research. The Opportunity: Lead the analytical identification of physical and chemical properties for novel materials. Utilize state-of-the-art instrumentation like SEM, XRD, and XPS to characterise microstructures. Conduct root cause failure investigations to deliver technical solutions for manufacturing challenges. Design and validate specialised characterisation protocols meeting strict material and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to translate data into impactful product improvements and stakeholder reports. What Do You Need: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field. MUST SPEAK English and Dutch. +6 years experience in a similar role. Designing and validating innovative analytical test methods and specialised characterisation protocols. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on investigative "forensic" science regarding material behavior. The ability to explain deep technical findings to non-specialist team members. Familiarity with GMP guidelines and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ICH, EMA, FDA).
