We are looking for a Data Analyst for one of our clients in the banking sector. The candidate will work closely with business units to gather, interpret, and translate data into insights.
Responsibilities
Collect, clean, validate, and structure both structured and unstructured data from internal and external banking sources.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business performance monitoring and decision-making.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define reporting needs and translate them into clear analytical or technical requirements.
Perform data mining, statistical analysis, and trend identification to detect patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
Support regulatory, risk, and compliance reporting by ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.
Contribute to the design, documentation, and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
Support the implementation of data quality controls and continuous data improvement initiatives.
Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a data analytics or data management role, ideally within the banking or financial services sector .
Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data transformation, modelling, or automation.
Solid understanding of data governance, data quality principles, and relational data structures.
Proven experience working with large datasets and complex data environments.
Strong analytical mindset, structured thinking, and attention to detail.
Knowledge of banking products, risk management, or regulatory frameworks is a strong asset.
Fluent in English +NL/FR
