Voor onze klant zijn wij op zoek naar een DPO en Tech Counsel . Als Data Protection Officer evalueer je of onze klant het nodige doet om privacy- en persoonsgegevens te beschermen. Vanuit je vaststellingen adviseer je onze klant over de geldende regels en hoe deze geïnterpreteerd worden door de Belgische Gegevensautoriteit en het Europees Hof van Justitie.
Als DPO opereer je onafhankelijk binnen Legal en fungeer je als contactpersoon en toezichthouder voor alle privacy-gerelateerde kwesties. Je taken en verantwoordelijkheden als DPO:
Opvolging van maatschappelijke en juridische evoluties op vlak van privacy en de bescherming van persoonsgegevens en onze klant informeren over alle relevante evoluties.
Evalueren van Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA’s) en andere relevante risk assessments.
Opstellen van beleid, procedures en awareness-initiatieven zoals opleidingen.
Opleiden en ondersteunen van Privacy Champions in de verschillende directies.
Actieve deelname aan verschillende organen en groepen binnen de organisatie zoals de Security Steering Group, GDPR Governance Group, AI Board, enz.
Onderhouden van nauwe contacten en goede relaties met operationele directies, stafdiensten, CISO, Compliance, Risk, Interne Audit, …
Als Technology Lawyer geef je mee juridische ondersteuning in digitale en technologische projecten van onze klant. Je combineert juridische precisie met technisch inzicht om innovatieve projecten juridisch mogelijk te maken.
Je taken en verantwoordelijkheden als Tech Counsel:
Adviseren over Cloud, SaaS, outsourcing, SLA’s en nazicht van contracten;
Juridische begeleiding van digitale en technologische projecten;
Legal support in mededingingsrecht in digitale markten (platformregels, gatekeepers,…);
Adviseren over nieuwe Europese technologie-regelgeving (m.n. AI Act, Data Act, Data Governance Act, Digital Markets Act);
Vertalen van technische risico’s naar juridische adviezen en omgekeerd;
Coördineren met IT, CISO, Data Governance, Audit en Risk Management.
Je behaalde een masterdiploma in de rechten (specialisatie in IT-recht of privacy-/gegevensbeschermingsrecht is een plus) of je bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
Een certificering als DPO is een troef.
Je hebt minimaal 5 jaar, idealiter minimum 8 relevante ervaring met de juridische aspecten van gegevensbescherming, information security en data governance als DPO , privacy- of technologierecht-expert/jurist.
Je hebt een grondige kennis van ICT-recht, contractenrecht en Europese digitale wetgeving.
Je hebt een goede kennis van het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
Je bent een sterke communicator, in staat om complexe (technische) regelgeving te vertalen naar duidelijke, praktische en werkbare adviezen voor het management en de operationele teams.
Je hebt ervaring met stakeholdermanagement en multidisciplinaire samenwerking en je kan fungeren als brugfiguur tussen legal, IT, security en de business.
Je bent strikt objectief, integer en laat je in je advies niet leiden door de druk die een operationele dienst zou opleggen of door je eigen persoonlijke voorkeuren.
