What will you do?

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for independently managing and expanding customer relationships within the French, Walloon and Luxembourgish markets. You will generate revenue by maintaining existing relationships and attracting new customers. You will advise clients on our (new) products and play an important role in discovering and developing market and growth opportunities. Additionally, you will actively focus on upsell and cross-sell opportunities to achieve commercial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Relationship management: Proactively manage and expand existing customer relationships within our Ethnic sales channel.
  • Identifying opportunities: Discover new sales opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Providing advice: Advise clients on our product range and offer tailored solutions.
  • Market research: Actively monitor market trends and translate customer needs into commercial opportunities.
  • Internal collaboration: Work with internal departments such as marketing and procurement to efficiently address customer inquiries.
  • Negotiating: Negotiate prices, contracts, and promotional activities.
  • Presentations: Conduct product presentations to engage customers and inform them about our offerings.
  • Planning and administration: Manage your own planning and administrative tasks independently.
  • Reporting: Report to the Sales Manager and contribute to the sales strategy.

Sales Channel:

In this role, you will be responsible for the Ethnic sales channel. Through this channel, we serve ethnic supermarkets and wholesalers.

Heuschen & Schrouff is the exclusive partner of various top Asian brands, including YumYum, SamYang, and Flying Goose, and offers a product range of over 5,000 items. With such a wide assortment, there are plenty of sales opportunities.

Your profile:

To succeed in this role, it's important that you have an affinity with Asian culture and Asian products. You have a proactive attitude, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to independently identify and capitalize on opportunities. Additionally, you are commercially driven, but also able to build strong relationships with customers.

  • You are fluent in both French and English. Knowledge of Dutch of an Asian language is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the food sector.
  • A strong willingness to travel: you will be traveling around 80% of the time, visiting clients.
