Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a part-time freelance HSE Engineer to join its team and support different projects in the Ghent area.
As HSE engineer, you will ensure the safety of industrial operations and construction activities within an industrial environment, guaranteeing compliance with Belgian and EU regulations and preventing risks related to works, equipment, and interventions.
Ensure compliance with the Belgian Code on Well-being at Work and relevant Royal Decrees (temporary works, pressure equipment, ATEX).
Train and raise awareness among internal teams and contractors on site safety.
Monitor compliance with HSE rules on-site and intervene in case of non-conformity.
3–5 years experience as HSE engineer for industrial construction projects (ideally within the pharma or process industries)).
~ Strong knowledge of Belgian regulations (Well-being Code, Royal Decrees on temporary works).
~ Prevention Advisor Level 2 certification
~ Fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory
