Nexeo is currently looking for an IFRS Financial Controller for a leading bank in Belgium. Nexeo is a consultancy company that supports its clients in the banking, finance and insurance sectors in all phases of their transformation projects: from business consulting to the implementation of IT solutions. As a consultant you will have the opportunity to be part of Nexeo: International environment ( Offices in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland & Canada)+ 450 employees over 20% growth each year As a Financial Controller IFRS, your responsibilities will include: Control Execution: Perform second-level financial controls, review certificates, and provide clear reports to management, auditors, and stakeholders. Team Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Financial Accounting, Solvency & Liquidity, Tax, and Performance Management to strengthen first-level controls. Risk & Reporting: Compile quarterly findings into a Control Book , summarizing residual risks, materiality, and remediation plans for executive review. Process Optimization: Conduct ad hoc controls, update procedures, and propose innovative solutions to streamline control processes. Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external audit teams, managing follow-up on recommendations. What are we expecting? Language Skills: Fluent in French and English, basic knowledge of Dutch is an asset. Experience: At least 2 years in financial control, with an advantage for experience in banking. Technical Expertise: Basic understanding of IFRS standards, financial risk assessment, and controls. Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, clear communication, attention to detail, and team-oriented approach.
