Senior Maintenance Engineer (Contractor) - Medical Device applicants only Location: Belgium (EU applicants only) Duration: 12 months Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing Language Requirement: Fluent in French Role Overview We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with deep technical expertise to join our advanced medical device manufacturing site on a 12-month contract. This role demands strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with complex automated systems, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and compliance with stringent regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Execute diagnostic analysis and root cause investigations on high-precision automated production lines. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems, including hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled automation. Optimize machine performance through parameter tuning, sensor calibration, and control loop adjustments. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement continuous improvement projects, leveraging OEE metrics, Six Sigma, and reliability engineering principles. Ensure all interventions comply with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations, maintaining detailed technical documentation. Support equipment validation and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing machinery. Technical Requirements Expertise in hydraulics and automation, including servo systems, proportional valves, and hydraulic power units. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens S7 preferred). Familiarity with SCADA systems, industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and robotics integration. Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and apply advanced diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, vibration analysis, thermal imaging). Experience in regulated environments (medical devices). Fluent in French; English proficiency is an asset.
