Finance Manager, Financial Accounting

Position Overview: As Head of Finance, you will be the strategic financial leader for our Antwerp operations, driving financial planning, reporting, and control. You will ensure accurate, compliant financial statements and provide actionable insights to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
Lead the preparation, review, and finalisation of accurate financial statements in compliance with Belgian GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
Oversee P&L accounts, balance sheets, VAT filings, and statutory figures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and liquidity planning to optimise working capital and support business objectives.
Direct external audit processes, coordinating with auditors to ensure timely, accurate reporting and adherence to local regulations.
Provide senior management with comprehensive financial analysis, reports, and recommendations to drive informed strategic decisions.
Continuously enhance financial processes, integrating ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) for improved efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance on projects, investments, and business initiatives.
Mentor, develop, and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Extensive knowledge of Belgian GAAP , accounting principles, and local financial regulations.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, financial controlling, or finance management, ideally in Belgium.
Proven track record of strategic financial leadership , including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent communication skills in Dutch (mandatory), with French and English as advantages.
Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of motivating and developing a high-performing finance team.
